NEET PG exam major changes

Every section to have 42 mins with 40 questions in it

Introduction of Time-Limited Sections in NEET-PG Examinations NEET-PG, along with other exams like NEET-MDS, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB-PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, and FET, will now include mandatory time-limited sections. This step has been taken by NBEMS to ensure the exams are more secure and reliable, considering the potential risks during the examination process. In these exams, the question papers will be divided into multiple time-bound sections. For instance, in NEET-PG 2024, there might be five sections: A, B, C, D, and E. Each section will consist of 40 questions, and candidates will have 42 minutes to complete each section. To proceed to the next section, candidates must utilize the entire allotted time for the previous section. Moreover, once the time for a section is over, candidates cannot review or modify their responses. The next set of questions will automatically appear after the allocated time for the previous section ends. Candidates are given the option to mark any question for review, regardless of whether they attempted it or not. This allows candidates to revisit these marked questions within a section before the time for that section ends. It is essential to note that reviewed questions will be evaluated based on the marking scheme specified in the Information Bulletin of the respective examination. The actual number of time-limited sections may vary based on the total number of questions and operational feasibility. NEET-PG 2024, along with GPAT and future computer-based tests conducted by NBEMS, will incorporate these mandatory time-bound sections. The examination scheme will be adjusted accordingly to accommodate these changes.
